Students Making a Difference, Improving Scientific Literacy Around the Globe

In middle schools across the country, how many students believe science matters? How many see the importance of science in everyday living and decision making? And how many students have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of their community members using the science they're learning in the classroom?
Science drives science education in the CSEP Classroom, and students in the Citizen Science Education Program take science beyond the classroom. They work with scientists and industry leaders to stay up to date with the latest in the science world. CSEPers become Junior Scientists with a real world mission. CSEPers are concerned with improving the scientific literacy of their community members. Students travel around the community to present science concepts to all ages. Some CSEP locations organize Science Summits for their townships and counties.
